Against Equality wants your sassiest, snarkiest, silliest and most sarcastic designs for our upcoming postcard project.  On our website we have archived a lot of writing encouraging others to rethink the rhetoric of equality and inclusion as deployed by the mainstream gay and lesbian national campaigns around gay marriage, hate crimes legislation and military inclusion.  Sadly, we have had a bit more difficulty finding critiques that employ visual culture (film, video, performance, print, painting, photography, etc), so we thought we would encourage more creative work around the issues through this postcard project.

We will be putting the designs up on the site archives and printing the best designs we receive on 4” x 6” postcards.  They will be distributed throughout the United States and Canada for free!  Designs should directly address one or more of the themes discussed above.  All entries must be received by March 31, 2010 as 300dpi .pdf files with all colors converted to CMKY.  Don’t forget to leave an 1/8” bleed on all sides!
